An Independent Sponsor pursuing his fifth acquisition, engaged us to complete a limited Quality of Earnings (QoE) review to validate financial performance and support the deal process.

Scope of Work

Client Background

A rapidly growing residential home builder generating $25M+ in annual revenue and budgeting more than 40 new homes for 2025 operated as a classic lifestyle business. The owners were focused on sales and construction operations, with little to no financial management infrastructure.

Initial Findings

Our initial assessment revealed significant gaps in financial management and reporting:

  • Bookkeeping performed only for tax preparation—no GAAP-level accounting

  • No internal Controller or bookkeeper
